Whit sledding on a boogie board
For the second day school was cancelled. YEAH! The snow had a nice layer of ice so we were able to do a little better with the sledding. Today we used our boogie boards and they worked pretty good. We also built a snowman on our trampoline and built a snow fort. I think I have pretty much exhausted my snow fun so if the weather man can send me some nice, warm weather I would be very pleased. Unfortunately, it is suppose to be cold and blustery tomorrow (two words that should be banned) so guess what- the snow and ice is going to be around for another day. That means- you got it- school is cancelled again! This is the only place that 5 inches of snow can shut down school for 3 straight days. Here is how our week is shaping up:
Monday- no school- snow
Tuesday- no school- snow
Wednesday- no school- snow
Thursday- if we go to school it is a scheduled
1/2 day because of exams
Friday- no school- teacher workday
Sat and Sun- weekend
Monday- no school- MLK holiday
So, the party continues. Come on down and join the fun- Oh, you can't because the roads aren't cleared because there are only 2 plows in the entire South!

I am totally with you on this snow stuff, Kelly! We are also closed for day 3 now and they are saying we will probably close Th and Fri, Mon is MLK so looks like Tues before we go back. The DOT here is still advising everyone to stay off the roads here and most of the major highways and interstates still have ice on them. Yippe!
We got about 5 inches on Monday too! And even though it had all melted by Tuesday afternoon schools were closed Mon, Tues and Wed here too. They even closed base on Mon & Tues so Pat didn't have to work!
