Knee Deep

After our visit to the YORKTOWN we headed to downtown Charleston for some lunch. We ate a quick picnic at the Waterfront Park and then the kids played in the fountains. Poor planning on my part meant that they did not have a change of clothes so they had to dry off like HOBOS on the sidewalk. They were a little soggy the rest of the day but it was warm so they didn't complain too much- next time I will remember bathing suits!

Simple Summer Fun

Here we are passing the early days of summer at home. Nothing very exciting- just our day-to-day activities at home :)

Snips and Snails

Murphy continues to be our little "naturalist".  Always on the lookout for critters.  It doesn't matter how slimy or gross they seem to the rest of us, Murphy picks them right up and insists on carrying them around for awhile. Thankfully, we have managed to set all of his little friends "free" before they were brought inside to infest my house!

Class of 2012

We headed up to NC for Kimmy's graduation from high school! We are very proud of her for all of her hard work- we know it wasn't always easy- but she made it through and is off to COLLEGE in August!
Congrats!

BTW- I can't believe that we will be doing this with Griffin next June!!!

Cheese Coma

Murphy has gotten to the age where he has decided that he doesn't need a nap everyday. However, on the days he decides to skip his siesta he can barely stay awake through dinner. I guess the mac-n-cheese is a sleep inducer.

And the Award Goes To.....

REESE

Reese had a BIG night on Monday. It was Awards Night at school and soccer and she came away with 3 awards.

1. The Principal's Award for having straight A's ALL year

2. Leadership Award (don't know exactly what that is for but it sounds good)

3. Player of the Year award for soccer

We are very proud of her for all of her hard work at school and on the soccer field. She takes her work and play very seriously and is always working to improve herself. Keep up the good work Girl!
