Here is our 4th of July picture. We don't really ever do too much on the 4th but this year our neighbors invited us to go on their boat to watch fireworks. The girls, Brett and Kevin went and I stayed home with Whit, Murphy and Griffin who were not interested or too little to go. The girls were thrilled because they LOVE the lake and are trying to convince us that we need a boat and a lake house. It all sounds great- I just need to win the lottery. You know the whole money thing always gets in the way of all those great dreams!

Rights of Passage
Carson has decided to take up running this summer. She is very dedicated and gets up and out the door every morning. We decided that she probably needed a good pair of shoes so we went to the store and got these snazzy Adidas. Notice the size: 7 1/2 in women's!
That's right- women's! My baby now has a bigger foot than me! How did that happen? Her last pair of shoes were a 4 1/2 in girls. She is still shorter than me but I don't think that will last too much longer.

Carson's photos of Murphy
Carson took all of these pictures. I am trying to teach her to get up close to her subject so that her photos don't have a lot of "junk" in the background. I think she did a pretty good job.
Perspective
Recently the some of the kids have been taking my camera and snapping pics of random things around the house. Most of the shoots are a little questionable but sometimes I get a good laugh or surprise when I go through them. For some reason I thought this image was funny. It is a picture of Brett's feet as he sat in the back of the stroller. I love his little piggies!

Murphy's favorite spot
This is where Murphy would prefer to spend his days- perched on my shoulder. He is getting a bit heavy so my arm gets a little achy after I hold him for long periods but I won't complain because I know that one day (sooner than I like) he will be too big to throw up over my shoulder and carry around everywhere I go.
Brett
I just signed this cute thing up for Kindergarten the other day. I finally filled out all of the paperwork and got all of the necessary documents needed to get him registered so he is officially going to "big" school in 6 short weeks! BOO HOO! I think I was dragging my feet because I didn't want to face the reality of sending him to school all day. He is such a sweet guy and I will miss not having him around during the day. Unfortunately, Whit and Murphy have been very demanding lately so I haven't gotten to spend much one on one time with him so I am going to have to figure out how to sneak some in before school starts.
