TRUCKS!!!!

Murphy just LOVES trucks. Big trucks, small trucks and every truck in between.  We have several truck books and he found one on the shelf that he wants to look at all the time. In an attempt to get him talking (something I will probably regret one day) we look at the book often and point and say the names of the different trucks to see if he will repeat any of them. He just smiles and laughs! He can, however, point to certain trucks if asked. Progress.

Future Barber(S)

Whit's handy work circa Oct 2011 (3 1/2 years old)

Hadley's handy work circa Jan. 2006 (3 1/2 years old)

I have 2 wannabe barbers/hairstylists. Hadley and most recently Whit took scissors to hair and ended up with some REALLY bad hair. Whit's is certainly not as bad as Hadley's MULLET but it is less than flattering.  when asked why he did it he said it was because "I just wanted to look good".

FAIL!!!

Luckily, it is just hair and it will grow back eventually.

Tall Drink of Water

Apparently Murphy is trending toward the tall and skinny side of the family (not my side BTW).
He had his 18 month check-up and is in the 95% for height and 10% for weight.
He is also being referred for some speech intervention (I already counted on that given his constant incoherent babble and lack of vocabulary). Another first for me in the parenting department- leave it to the 7th kid to have issues! But isn't he CUTE!!!

I'm a ROCKSTAR

Whenever Murphy gets on the trampoline this is how his hair looks. Whit announced that Murphy looks like a "ROCKSTAR" when his hair is sticking straight up. I think he looks like a peacock.

Star Soccer Player of the Week

Yes, we had another weekend filled with soccer. Since Carson hasn't been featured in any soccer posts I decided it was her week to be the STAR. She is having a good season and the "Power Pigtails" always give her a little extra POWER out there on the field, plus they help me find her in the mass of ponytails.

Thing 1 and Thing 2

I think Dr. Seuss was a Psychic.
He saw into the future and witnessed the shenanigans that
take place at my house on a daily basis and thought
Whit and Murphy would be comical characters in one of his books!
I am NOT laughing!

To quote Dr. Seuss:

Thing One and Thing Two
They ran up! They ran down!...

Then those Things ran about
With big bumps, jumps and kicks
And with hops and big thumps
And all kinds of bad tricks

Now, I don't think my Thing 1 and Thing 2 have flown a kite in the house yet but that is only because we don't have a kite- memo to self:

DON'T BUY A KITE!
