Living Large on the Lake

We are fortunate enough to live near a great lake. We don't have a boat or any water toys but the girls begged us to rent a boat for the day and head out to enjoy a day of boating and tubing. Today was a good day especially since it was 103 degrees. We had a grand time and look forward to doing it again in the future. Next time we have to convince Griffin to go!

I have officially passed my "Fertility Torch" to my younger sister, Kalyn. She is about to enter the world of motherhood as she waits for the arrival of her baby boy in just a few short weeks. We are all soooooo excited to welcome a new member in to our family and we can't wait to get our hands on that little munchkin! I can't wait to get to enjoy a new little guy without having to be sleep deprived- how wonderful for me (sorry Kalyn, I am praying that he is a good sleeper for you)! 

I can't wait to spoil you "Baby M"- counting down the days until you get here!

Murphy Playing With His Trucks

I love it when I find photos on my camera that I didn't take. It is like opening a present. Carson has the photo bug like me and she has been taking most of the pics around here lately. These are a few I found of Murphy playing on the floor with his beloved trucks.

Sweet Relief

I know I am starting to sound like a broken record but it is sooooo

HOT!!!

The only way to tolerate the afternoon hours is to find some water.

Unfortunately, our community pool feels more like a hot tub so we have had to find some cooler alternatives. The splash pad at our YMCA is close and the water is cold so we spent a few hours there this week. Here's hoping for cooler weather!

Metal Mouth

Today was the day that Carson FINALLY got her braces. The orthodontist has been working on her for about a year now and telling us she would be ready for braces "soon". She wasn't thrilled to get them but she looks cute even if her mouth is very sore.

Get Your Tan On!

Reese was "laying out" trying to work on her "tan".

The only problem is that she was wearing SPF 50 sunscreen and her skin pigmentation leans heavily toward her english/irish heritage preventing her from tanning- SORRY! The only thing she will get more of are those cute little freckles! Brett, Whit and Paisley joined her briefly but the only one who is going to be a bronze beauty is Paisley.

Water Works

We had some "water games" in the driveway today. It involved turning the hose on and wasting a lot of water. The highlight was filling up buckets and repeatedly dumping them over our heads.
