Murphy's Milkshake

Murphy got his hands on a milkshake and wouldn't let go. I didn't even know he could drink through a straw but he slurped that sucker down in a flash. I guess he knows whats good in life!

This is How I Feel This Morning

We went to see the midnight premiere of "Harry Potter" last night/this morning. The movie was very good despite a lame ending. I am not one to stay up late so it was a big sacrifice for me to give up my sleep but the kids begged me to take them so I caved and got tickets. Poor Carson had to get up early for camp but she said it was worth losing sleep to see the movie. I, on the other hand, don't think there is much worth giving up my precious slumber for but I hoping that my efforts get me a few votes for "Mother of the Year"!

Edventure

While the girls were away it was to HOT to play outside all day so I took the little boys to the children's museum- Griffin did NOT want to join us (I don't know why?). I was a little bored (been there too many times) but they seemed to enjoy it and it was better than melting in the backyard. Their favs were the grocery store (Murphy was very good at un-stocking the shelves) and the fire truck.

Lake Loving Girls

Kevin and the girls spent the weekend at Lake Lure- lucky them! They got in lots of lake time and boating which they all LOVE. They are always inquiring about going out on the lake here but it is a bit hard when you don't own a boat. Their simple answer is "just buy one"! I guess they haven't seen the price tag on those suckers. Lucky for them there was boat rental at Lake Lure so they were in heaven. They also went to see a play at Flat Rock Theater in Hendersonville- some Agatha Christie production- and went on a horse trail ride before they came home. What a weekend! Glad I was in Columbia melting because I wouldn't want to have that much fun- ha ha!

Rain Drops Keep Falling On My Head

AHHH! RAIN! It is a very welcome break from the unending heat that we are enduring. Whit decided to make the most of it and take an outdoor "shower". Brett and I joined him but you will be happy to hear that we left our clothes on.
