PUT YOUR CLOTHES ON!!!!

Normally I wouldn't think twice about the boys jumping on the trampoline without their shirts on BUT on this particular day it was 38 degrees!!! Why are kids so impervious to the cold? I don't ever remember being cold when I was little but now if it gets below 55 I need to bring out all the winter clothes!

Have one of his teammates run in to him at practice so he needs stitches! Believe it or not this is Griffin's first sports related injury (knock on wood). He is not a big fan of needles, blood etc. so he was a little nervous when they told him he needed stitches to close up his cut. I "let" him hold my hand for the procedure as long as he promised not to squeeze too hard. It all turned out fine- 5 stitches later.

SEC Championship- Sad but True

So it wasn't the game we had hoped for. In fact it wasn't even close. The COCKS got stomped! Despite the poor showing on the field I still had a good time but I can't speak for Griffin. Hopefully he had a little fun! At least the COCKS made it the championship- something that we didn't ever think would happen and after all- THERE'S ALWAYS NEXT YEAR!

COCKS VS. AUBURN

Today is the BIG day! Griffin and I are heading to Atlanta to go to the SEC Championship game. It should be a real test for the Gamecocks but I think they can pull off the upset. They are not expected to beat #1 Auburn so there is no pressure- they can play loose and surprise everyone with a victory. If so look for me and Griffin tearing down the goal posts at the Georgia Dome!

Kick-off 4:00 pm.

Fun with Helium

Oh! The fun you can have with a free helium balloon! 

Now Reese has decided to ask for a year supply of helium for Christmas.

Do they sell that at TARGET?

Nit Picking-LITERALLY!

So, it is Friday.

I am trying to get ready to go out of town.

Organizing stuff @ home and stuff for my trip.

The phone rings.

It is the school nurse.

"Your child has HEAD LICE!

GREAT!

Pick up said child from school plus her 2 non-lice infested siblings.

Go to drug store for smelly shampoo.

Come home and treat 7 kids heads-just in case.

Strip all sheets from beds.

Vacuum carpets, mattresses, sofas etc.

Wash all coats, hats, brushes combs.

Throw away all pillows.

Buy new pillows, brushes, combs.

Pick nits out of child's head for approx. 2 hours. (I wish I could have just shaved her head)

Continue to do laundry until the wee hours of the night!

Sounds like fun-doesn't it?

And if you can't tell by the picture, Hadley is the one with the lice.

She is the ONE.

If something is going to happen it will happen to Hadley.

Broken bones, stitches, hospitals...

That's just how it is with her.

I think there is one like that in every family!
