Griffin's Birthday

Since Griffin has a basketball game across town on his actual birthday we went ahead and celebrated on Saturday. We had pizza and OREO ice cream pie and gave him most of his gifts- all from the DUKE store. Now his entire wardrobe is blue & white and has a DUKE logo on it somewhere!

LEGOS

Brett got "LEGO CITY" for Christmas so on New Year's day we set out to assemble some of the vehicles. I think there are about a million LEGOS in the set so it will probably take us a few days to get it all together since Brett still needs a little help with some of the directions. We did manage to get 2 of the trucks together so now we only have the city and 1 big truck to do!

DUKE Basketball

While we were at home having our New Year's Eve party, Kevin and Griffin were in Durham watching the Duke v. UPenn basketball game. Griffin loves Duke basketball and we try to get him up to NC to see at least one game a year. It was a blow out by the Devils so Griffin got to see all his favorite players score a lot of points.

Happy 2010!!!

After all the mess from our SPA was cleaned up I settled the girls down with a movie until midnight. As you can see we had a couple of kids who didn't make it. Everyone else saw the ball drop and went running around the court yelling and screaming. After they came back inside they decided to raid the fridge and have a "Midnight Snack". We also had some sparkling cider and then it was back up to finish the movie. Lights were finally out at 2 am-UGH! So as you can guess I am sooooo tired today but I must carry on and perform all of my Mom duties so here I sit blogging instead of napping!

Manicures & Masks

Since it was mainly a "girls" party-Kevin & Griffin were out of town- we did facials and manicures and pedicures. Yes, I know you are all laughing now because I have never had one in my entire life but the girls thought it was fun. We tried to do "Rock Star" pedicures where you add glitter to the wet polish-

MEMO TO SELF: GLITTER IS MESSY!

Thankfully it vacuums right up but I think we will just stick with polish in the future.

Flashlight Tag & Ice Cream

After our food and crafts we headed outside for some flashlight tag. Luckily, it wasn't too cold so it was a good way for everyone to burn off some energy. Even Whit joined the fun.

New Year's Eve- Food & Crafts

The girls wanted to have a sleepover on New Year's Eve. They each invited a friend and prepared lots of YUMMY food to munch on. After dinner we made our own party hats and noisemakers to help us ring in the new year.
