Just a quick SHOUT OUT to Mother Nature! Keep up the good work! It continues to be LOVELY for January. I can't thank you enough for sparing me from a month of FRIGID temps- and by frigid I do mean anything below 60. We have been in the upper 60's and 70's for the past week and I am loving it!

Here Comes the SUN!!!

Ok! This is what I am talking about- Mother Nature is listening and she FINALLY brought me my sunshine- HOLLA! Nothing "brightens" my mood like a warm, sunny day in January. We have been outside all morning enjoying the fresh air. Please, Mother Nature, keep the weather just like it is for the rest of the winter (wishful thinking)!

Rain is a Good Thing?

Unless you have a pack of restless kids that NEED to be outside!!!





















January is or "Rainy Season" it seems. It has been wet and chilly and down right YUCKY for the last week. My kids are not good "inside" kids especially Whit and Murphy. They need fresh air and the freedom to run so that they don't kill each other or destroy my house! Some days it has been too chilly and wet to venture out but we have been able to put our new boots to use on the few days it has been warm enough to be outside despite the rain. Hoping for a few more sunny days in the near future!!!

Greatest Show on Earth?!

Gram and Grandpa took us (most) to the circus this weekend. We felt right at home with all the noise, wild animals roaming about, trapeze artists flipping around, clowns making a mess and tight rope walkers precariously balancing their very lives on a thin rope, one step away from going over the edge- boy can I relate! I never realized how much my very own life mirrors that of a circus! Needless to say, we fit right in and had fun watching it. Now it is back to our own three ring circus at home!

WELCOME HOME PATRICK!

My brother-in-law, Patrick returned home from a 6 month deployment in Afghanistan. It was a wonderful day for all of us but especially for my sister Kalyn who has been missing and worrying about her husband for the past 1/2 year and especially wonderful for my nephew, Gunnar who FINALLY got to meet his DAD!!!

The Most Wonderful Day of the Week- At least for Murphy

TRASH DAY





Murphy LOVES Wednesday because that is TRASH DAY at our house. He gets so excited to see that big yellow truck. We are usually outside when they come and we have to follow them around the court so he can get his "Trash Truck Fix". He waves and squeals with delight as he watches the truck do its thing. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all be so happy with such simple things- I know my credit card bill would be a lot less if I could find HAPPINESS in seeing the trash truck!
